Life in Lisbon
Embrace the relaxed Portuguese lifestyle while experiencing the adventure of a lifetime! Public transport in Portugal is affordable and efficient, giving you the freedom to explore at your own pace. Enjoy sunshine year-round, a vibrant city culture, and a welcoming atmosphere. Did you know that Lisbon has the most sunshine hours in Europe? Locals and tourists gather along the boulevards to enjoy the sun, live music, and good company. If you love sports, why not take a surfing course? Lisbon also boasts a thriving arts scene, stunning sights, excellent restaurants, and affordable cafes.
Eating out doesn’t have to be expensive—the ‘prato do dia’ (dish of the day) is always a great and budget-friendly choice. Coffee and wine are significantly cheaper than in Northern Europe, and you’ll find amazing deals at local markets on clothing, fresh produce, and seafood.
Our favourite reasons to live in Lisbon

These markets offer local produce, artisanal goods, and unique Portuguese specialities, amongst which are cheeses, exquisite honey, and high-quality olive oil. Additionally, during the festive season of December, different neighbourhoods host a Christmas market!

Lisbon has loads of cafés, bars, and clubs for you to enjoy. Many of you have probably heard of the creamy pastry ‘Pastel de Nata’… Well, did you know that there is a Pastel de Nata shot? 🥃 An absolute game changer! Tip: try out ‘Sneaky Sip Lisbon’, this is a hidden cocktail bar that is only accessible through a secret door behind a photo automate. Don’t forget the password: BASEMENT.
